Does anyone know what is the go with TRGO's ability to "Validate Activities - Unit Level"?

Does this translate to a Unit Endorsement of the activity or just the TRGO internal endorsement to the SQN CO?

CUO,

I believe so, however I would check with your CO to determine how they want to process activity for your unit.

Would it be possible to include a "Unit Email List" with in the Unit>Reports tab, as sometimes there are sometimes irregularities with the emails

eg. firstname.lastname1@aafc.org.au as opposed to firstname.lastname@aafc.org.au

I think this would help when you wish to send an email to someone and you are unsure of the correct AAFC email.

CSGT,

For those who have the appropriate position on C1 "Positions and Appointments" they have access to the "Mail Distribution System". To my knowledge, these appointments include: ADMINO, CO, XO & SQNWOFF. It has been limited to those positions as they are they points of contact you need to speak to prior to sending a squadron wide email, as they will (generally) be the ones to have the 'yes' or 'no' say so before it's distributed. (And also because you, even though an CSNCO, are still a cadet member - not staff). Which ultimately bubbles down to the Chain of Command factors.

I could be wrong, however I'm under the impression that that's the proper protocol.

But from one who holds two appointments and does not have access to this when I need it, I second your idea! :D

Cheers

Cadets,

I was WG ADMINO for a while and Couldn't send broadcasts. Unsure if SQN ADMINO is different. WG Level it's OC, XO, WGWOFF, SOGT and SOMS. That's it.

There has been much talk about asking for CO's to have access for a 'tick-box' to allow access to a feature to a member rather than a position, but we've never forwarded the suggestion as it's too hard to manage, and there are too many variables. Easiest thing for a broadcast is write it up, and send it to your CO. Then it also carries the weight and authority of your CO when being distributed.

CPL (AAFC) and LCDT,

Thanks for your quick replies, however when posting this I was in the mindset of CDT Bloggs has been told to send an email to someone, however they are unsure of the correct email address. So CDT Bloggs jumps on C1 and looks it up with minimal fuss.

Hope this makes my point clearer.

As long as CDT Bloggs knows his mates name, he should be able to use the cadets AAFC alias...

CUO,

They're discussing the fact that if your mate's name is, say, Cameron Smith, the CIV Inst at 415 (ex-CUO 407SQN) is Cameron.Smith5... how will they know if their particular mate has a number after their name or not?

I do agree, each member in this organisation should be able to access their own unit's nominal roll listing name, rank, service number and AAFC email alias.

Definitely! How else is our CSGTs going to contact their cadets in this modern day and age. I mean, the telephone is so outdated. :P

It is needed, but email is a dangerous trap to fall into. Our senior cadets have started thinking that a sent email is read and acted on instantly. On the other side though, I'd like to be able to delegate some of the admin work that requires sending emails and broadcasts to my clerks in admin. None of which have any access at the moment.

I asked my XO about that 'Training' tab and he said that for cadets it is nothing and will show nothing, however to staff members it shows training details. So the 'Training' tab is basically useless to cadets.

LCDT,

This is where your wrong. I am only a CSGT and how ever i can see inside the training tab as i have the Assistant Training Officer appointment. Imagine if cadet was unable to see the training tab and they have a appointment (like me), they wouldnt be able to perform there tasks properly.

Also if your wondering, under the training tab i have:

    Record Home Training Results
Unit Nominal Roll by Trg Stage

Thanks.
